A perfect finish to the 15th ENGADINSNOW by Dakine 2017 with beautiful sunshine and challenging snow conditions. Today’s spectators were in for a treat, as the winners of the Freeride World Qualifiers 3* in freeski and snowboard were crowned. 108 athletes from 18 countries took the journey to the beautiful Engadin to be part of the 15th anniversary edition of the event. Sébastien Varlet from France won the men’s freeski FWQ 3*event, with Emilie Terane from France taking first place in the women’s competition. Johannes Schnitzer from Germany and Lia Leuenberger from Switzerland stood tallest in the men and women’s snowboard competition.
Due to the current snow structure and the weather forecast, we are not able to ride the North Face of Corvatsch during the ENGADINSNOW by Dakine 2017.
It is just a fact (saefty reason) and a reasonable decison for the riders.
The good message is that we found two other options to stage a safe freeride event.
