Under a blue sky and with best snow conditions, the finals of this years Stimorol Engadinsnow Freeride competition took place today. And again, the freeriders from allover the world presented a stunning show at the north face of Mount Corvatsch.
Today, the qualifacation runs for tomorrows Freeride finals took place in the sunny Engadina. Stunning weather and over 130 of the world-best freeriders - what a day for the Stimorol Engadinsnow.
Today the Freeride Ridersmeeting for the Qualification took place at the Aula in Silvaplana with about 100 Freeriders. The main parts of the presentation were the face Fuorcla, the weather conditions and the judging criterias.
Although the weather conditions weren't perfect, the qualification of the Stimorol ENGADINSNOW Slopestlyle Contest was finished successfully today - and already offered some spectacular jumps.
Finally all the Freeriders will have their insurance. The Freeride World Tour taking care of their riders and establish an insurance which is mandatory.
For the Stimorol ENGADINSNOW 2010, one of the most popular Freeride Events in the world, more than 500 athletes from 21 nations have put down their name.

The new shaped slopestyle will have elements from the freeride. A very special obstacle will be a cliff drop with an integrated box. Such obstacles in the slopestyle park are very spectacular and also a world premiere.
Finally a new and permanent slopestyle park is in construction for the Stimorol Engadinsow on the mount of Corvatsch
40'000 cubicmeters of snow, 20 rails and boxes, many kickers in different sizes and three permanent top shapers, who built already many pipes and parks accross the world.
He is performing in some of the hippest clubs in Prag and has his own radio show in his country and is since 8 years one of the most faithful fans of the Stimorol Engadinsnow.
After efficient snowfall the contest locations are ready for the event from february 8th - 11th 2010.
The north face of Corvatsch got a super stable base for the contest.
